Custom Men - A cut above the rest

I had ordered a custom-made tuxedo and shirt 4 months prior to my wedding
in August 2008 at a tailor in New York City. However, the tailor
repeatedly made empty promises for a month and up until within two weeks of
the wedding, the tuxedo and the shirt were not ready. But since the
wedding was out of town, I actually
needed the tuxedo to be ready a week
prior to the wedding. So clearly I had to find an alternative. I decided
to buy off-the-rack tuxedo and shirt and alter them to fit better (after
all, it is for my wedding!) After calling around a few tailors in town,
Custom Men came to my rescue. Vijay sensed my desperation and decided to
help me out. He did not make any promise when I asked him could they alter
my tuxedo and shirt in two days? He said he would need to look at them
first to see what kind of alterations the job would entail especially
knowing that one of the things I would like to be done was to shorten the
length of the jacket. When I came in, he and Max (the tailor) looked at
the tuxedo and told me that they were able to do everything!...in two days!
Other alterations they needed to do include making the shirt smaller to fit
better and enlarging the waist and seat of the pants. And two days later
around
lunch time, they called me to let me know that the tuxedo and the
shirt are ready to be picked up. And I could not be more pleased with the
quality of the job that they have done! They fit nicely and comfortably on
me...it is amazing! And on top of that, it did not cost me an arm and a
leg. They were very professional from the get-go. I will definitely go
back to Custom Men to make custom-made shirts, pants or suits. Thank you
again for making me look my best for my big day!
