Many high-end stores sell popular name brand suits. Why should I buy my suit(s) from Custom Men?

Whether it's for business attire or for special occasions, every man needs a few elegant, high-quality suits that set him apart from the rest. Most men who shop for quality suits usually rush to high-end department stores and purchase the suit for its brand name rather than its quality. At Custom Men, such features are considered "standard" and we add several other unique details such as accent stitching inside the jacket, a flower holder under the lapels, a mobile phone pocket inside the jacket, pick stitching, exterior watch pocket on pants and your name embroidered in the pants' heel guards. Suits at Custom Men range from $600 to $5000. What's the difference?

The fabric makes the difference in the price of a suit. If you're not looking for a brand name, you can opt for higher quality grades and pay less than $1500 per suit. Anything above a 110-thread count is guaranteed to make a respectable looking and durable suit. We buy many such fabrics in bulk to cut costs and pass the savings to our customers. Higher thread counts equal better quality and a higher price. Popular designers use fabrics with grades such as 150s or 180s. Suits made out of such top quality fabrics cost a lot more.

How does the process work?

You call ahead to make an appointment. We will help you select the fabrics and record your styling details. Our tailor will take all the required measurements and we will notify you when your clothes are ready for the next fitting. The total process takes 4 to 6 weeks. How can I be sure my suit will fit?

At the fitting stage, our in-house tailors will look over every detail. Don't hesitate to ask for little adjustments because you're paying for the suit/s, and it is important that everything fits to your liking.

How is it that you have Armani fabrics and most tailors don't?

Renowned clothing designer Giorgio Armani is very selective. He only supplies fabrics to trustworthy businesses or stores usually found in the high-end shopping districts like 57th Street. We are proud to be one of them.

How do payments work? Is there a discount for large orders or if a customer pays cash?

We take a 50% deposit at the time you place the order and the balance during the second fitting. If your total is over $5000, we offer a no-interest six-month payment plan. For example, if your total is $7000 the initial deposit required would be $3500 with the remainder divided into five monthly payments at $700 per month.

If you pay in full with a check or cash, we give a 3% discount (the merchant fee that we usually pay for credit card transactions).

What kind of work do the Free alterations cover? Why are shirts not included in Free alterations?

Free alterations include taking in or letting out seams (in case of suits) If you lose or gain weight within 1 year from the purchase date of your suits. Shirts are not a part of free alterations as they don't have fabric to let out. Also, work such as reweaving is not part of free alterations either.
